URKUND for universities and colleges
URKUND is the leading web-based system for combating plagiarism. Most of Sweden's universities and colleges utilise URKUND in order to effectively detect and prevent plagiarism. URKUND is also used in neighbouring countries, and elsewhere in Europe and the US, Asia and the Middle East. URKUND can serve to help students to get better at writing, because teachers can give feedback as to whether source references and formulations are correctly done.

- By using URKUND, the educational institution clearly states that plagiarism is not permitted. The institution achieves valuable quality assurance about the teaching provided.

- If plagiarism is suspected, URKUND gives the teacher clear information about the original sources, and thus avoids confronting the student without good evidence.
